These pictures depict a pig that was captured by some individuals in Peoria. They created a pit with their cars and allowed a male pit bull to attack and try to kill the pig. A neighbor called in and the police and animal control responded. All of the dogs (1 adult male and several puppies - all Pit Bulls) and the pig were impounded. No one would claim ownership of the pig, the dogs or the cars. All the cars were towed. All of the animals had to be euthanized.

The 3 1/2 week old Beagle pups pictured below were found in the garbage by a man who works for the sanitation department. The 5 puppies had been in the garbage for 2 days. One of the pups was frozen to death, the other four puppies were put into foster care. The mother apparently jumped the fence and hung herself. The owner then simply threw the puppies away. All of the puppies are now in loving homes. The Peoria Humane Society would like to thank Foster Pet Outreach for fostering the puppies.
