Membership and Donations
MEMBERSHIP: As a member of the Peoria Humane Society, you will receive our quarterly newsletter, Pawprints, filled with information on current issues and programs, valuable pet care information, advance notice of upcoming PHS events, legislation updates and lots more! And, most importantly, you’ll be helping us to make a difference for animals! All donations to the Peoria Humane Society are listed in Pawprints by name (amounts are not listed). You may also a send a donation “in memory of” or “in honor of” a loved one or special friend. DONATIONS: Donations to the Peoria Humane Society are entirely tax-deductible. Here are a few examples of how your dollars impact the lives of animals in our community.
The Peoria Humane Society and the Peoria Animal Welfare Shelter (PAWS) are not one in the same. The Peoria Humane Society is a not-for-profit organization. Every dollar donated to the PHS goes directly to benefit the animals. PAWS is owned by the City of Peoria, the Peoria Humane Society and the County of Peoria and is operated by the City of Peoria. Any monies donated to PAWS will go to the City of Peoria.
How Can You Become a Member or Donate to the Peoria Humane Society?
STEP 1: Download and print the PEORIA HUMANE SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION / DONATION FORM.
STEP 2: Fill out the form, attach your payment*, and mail it to us at The Peoria Humane Society, P.O. Box 3592, Peoria, Illinois 61612-3592.
* Due to the high cost of postage, receipts are not sent unless specifically requested. Acknowledgement of your donation will be in PAWPRINTS. Your canceled check will serve as your receipt for tax purposes.

Donate a Dog Bed
Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda dog bed.
